Snaygill Boats started back in 1977 with the aim of providing top quality canal boating on this loveliest of all canals. We were drawn to the Skipton area by the beauty of the Yorkshire countryside and because the Leeds and Liverpool canal is so quiet and unspoilt.

We build our own narrowboats from the bare shell up which means being responsible for all the design, fitting out and décor. Modern developments are combined with traditional design and expert craftsmanship and we have the skills and resources to maintain our boats to a high standard.

A really good day on the canal depends on a lot of things like first class boats, a quiet canal, on the spot owners and staff, on–board tuition, easy car access with FREE, safe parking and a general atmosphere of helpfulness. Snaygill’s position in a major Heritage Area is also a big advantage because there is a lot to see and do here.
